Green leaders – You can become one too!
These companies and organizations initiated green practices when green practices were not popular from a consumer standpoint, adopting them was more expensive and manufacturing and commodities presented unique challenges. But, they did it because they knew it was the right thing to do! We are fortunate to work with and learn from these clients who are green leaders like:
- Clark County and their Planet Clark Program, Emerald House Project, and Blueprint Program for building officials
- Quail Homes, a green leader and builder of zero energy ready homes, and a sponsor of the Clark County Emerald House Project
- Troy Johns of Urban NW Homes who built the first net zero energy development west of the Mississippi and resides on the Green Building Council in Clark County.
- O’Ryan Industries who manufactures LED lighting, saving organizations thousands of dollars every month on energy costs and cutting energy consumption by nearly 50%!

Monthly Events
Portland and Vancouver businesses both attend the Clark County Green Business program. January 19th, I met representatives from Frito Lay, BioKleen and Simply Thyme Catering and was amazed at the steps they are taking. Your company can to register your business, get a green assessment, and be recognized and certified for adopting green practices.
